Zainab Al-Suwaij : ウィキペディア英語版 | Zainab Al-Suwaij Zainab Al-Suwaij (Arabic: زينب السويج)(b. 1971) is an Iraqi American activist and the co-founder and Executive Director of the American Islamic Congress. She advocates for women's equality, civil and religious rights, and interfaith understanding. ==Biography== Suwaij was born in Basra, Iraq in 1971 and was raised in the home of her grandfather, the Ayatollah of Basra. She became a United States citizen in 1996.
